Dish: Isshin Ramen Special
Location: Isshin Japanese Restaurant (Makati, Philippines)
Price: P 190.00
Comments: Lately I’ve been often eating my lunch at this restaurant. The taste of there food is really delicious and the price indeed is affordable! Its a win-win for both my appetite-and-budget! I must say the serving was quite generous for a Japanese restaurant.
For this dish I ordered their special ramen called “Isshin Special” it looks like the usual ramen I used to eat at hawaii. It has shrimp, pork cutlets, boiled tamago, corn and some veggies matched with a shoyu based soup and noodles. It was delicious and very relaxing to eat, perfect for the rainy weather we’re experiencing right now at the Philippines.
Dish: Melon Pan
Location: The Bakeshop — Edsa Shangrila (Philippines)
Rating: 4/5 Stars
Comments: Melon Pan is one of my favorite when it comes to bread it has a crisp outer layer which are often glazed. a Melon Pan does not literally have a melon flavor, but it is called melon pan for the reason that it has a “melon-like” appearance. The filling of the melon pan often varies, it may have chocolate chip, maple syrup, raisin, creme or even custard…
For this particular melon it was filled with a yummy creamy custard which complemented the crisp outer layer of the bread. What makes melon pan more interesting and fun to eat is that you’ll never know what the filling inside is until you it eat. So if you like surprises this one would sure satisfy you.

Comments: While we were going back to the park area, a scent of freshly baked bread led my to this small shop. The shop was filled of different kinds of bread and pastries, somehow the store resembles a bit of the shop named “Bread Talk” but the prices is rather cheaper, the taste was almost the same. They have variety of food to choose from pastries, unique kind of breads, cookies, muffins and cakes! I tasted some of it like the brownies and cookies it was divine! especially if you’re craving for something sweet!

Rating: 5/5 Stars
Comments: Katsu lovers out there, this is the place for you guys! The katsu their serving has a authentic japanese taste! Juicy in the inside and crunchy at the outside, plus its not oily at all! Presentation wise the dish was very enticing , it does not only taste good but it also looks good. \(^o^)// The price is very reasonable indeed, the serving was big plus its already a set meal, it goes with:
*1 miso soup
*a bowl of rice
*cabbage salad that has unlimited refills which comes with 2 sauces

to top it all off the interior of the place was very nice, it has a modern zen feel and has a unique accent wall that features a manga that tells the story about the founding yabu house of katsu. I should take a picture next time I go there ^__^.

Dish: Tuna Okonomiyaki with noodles [ツナー お好み焼き]
Price: P 240
Location: Okonomiyaki Restaurant — Little Tokyo
Ratings: 5 / 5 stars
Comments: Okonomiyaki is really one of my favorite food! Its like a Japanese pizza or pancake cooked with perfection! There are lots of flavors to choose from. You can add Noodles, pork, chicken or even seafood and mixed up with vegetable topped with mayo and otafuku! It’s really the best! I guess it really stand by it’s name, okonomiyaki is basically derived from the words okonomi and yaki. Okonomi meaning what you like (thats why if you noticed the “kono” in the word okonomi is written in the kanji “好” meaning like) and yaki means cooked or grilled in short you cook together the ingredients that you like with flour + grated yam and water. For those of you who haven’t tasted one yet, you’re missing a lot ^o^//!
